How to update the Firmware on a Zyxel 660HW
Step 1. Download the .bin file
shortcut link here or you can go to
Centurylink.net and
find it.
you may get a security
warning about download files (picture below) just click in
yellow area at top and click on download file.
Save this file to your desktop
Click on save then choose desktop (picture
below) and then click save again.
now the file 340bef8d0.bin should be
located on your desktop.
Step 2
Log into Modem and upload the file.
Open a web browse and go to 192.168.2.1 at
the login screen enter 1234 then login, click ignore, click
ignore again.
On the main status page go to Maintence
and under maint you will find tools click on tools.
Now click on Browse
Got to YOUR desktop and find the file
340bef8d0.bin and click open
340bef8d0.bin will now be in the file path
section and you will want to click on UPLOAD then wait.
When it is done it will tell you it is
successful.
